Company management
Alan Church: Director
Alan Church is a former IT Director of Gateway Supermarkets. Alan was the youngest director of this public company. His first business, established in 1981, is still operating successfully under totally separate management following a merger. Alan also founded and managed several other organisations. One of these, International Bank and Trust was sold in December 1996. Another IT business has recently been sold to the Daily Mail newspaper group after many years successful trading. Experienced in raising investment capital and negotiating major international contracts.
Tom Denton: Director
Tom has experience in all aspects of the automotive industry. He is a leading automotive author. After six years service in the armed forces he then worked as an advanced automotive technician until he became the company director of a large repair and service centre/garage. After this he became a lecturer in automotive engineering, progressing to senior lecturer and then head of a large automotive engineering college. Tom is currently a technology staff tutor with the Open University teaching information and communication technologies. He does consultancy work for the QCA, C&G, IMI and many others. His nine automotive textbooks published since 1995, are best sellers and led to his authoring of the Automotive Technician Training multimedia products published 2002/3 in the UK and USA .Tom is a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry, and a full member of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers (UK), Society of Automotive Engineers (UK/USA), British Mensa and the Association of University Teachers. He is currently undertaking further study in virtual learning technologies.
